Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, has received a student delegation from the faculty of law at the Emirates Canadian University College, led by Dr. Jalal Hatem, President of the College.
The delegation was briefed about the development of the parliamentary march and the UAE leadership’s vision to enable the Council to exercise its constitutional role. Aisha Al-Yateem, FNC member, and Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, FNC Secretary-General, attended the meeting.
Dr. Al Qubaisi emphasised the importance of the visit in enhancing communication, understanding the parliamentary process in the country and the participation of UAE citizens in the decision-making process, as well as in recognising the great efforts exerted by the UAE at the national, regional and international levels.
She said that education is the essence of the future of the homeland and one of the most critical pillars of plans and strategies aimed at providing the country with all the necessary qualified human resources to participate seriously in the process of construction and development and exploring the future.
Dr. Hatem said that the visit was in line with the college's belief in the importance of enhancing social partnership and field visits, which are one of the leading pillars of success.
The delegation listened to a presentation dealing with the march of the FNC in the previous decades and toured the directorates and departments of the council
