Elwy continues shoot for Farah Laila after injury

Egyptian actress Laila Elwy twisted her ankle when she fell whilst shooting outdoors scenes for her ?Ramadan series, Farah Laila (Laila’s Wedding) in a field in the al-Ayyat area of Giza.? Director Khaled al Hagar said: “While shooting an outdoor scene in a field, Laila lost her ?balance and fell on the ground with her foot twisted under her. I called for a doctor but Laila refused so that we could continue shooting. She insisted we continue so that we could deliver the episodes to the channels on time.” Al Hagar added: “I finished shooting all the outdoors scenes, and I have only 12 days left to finish ?shooting the whole series. The remaining scenes will be shot ?in an apartment in Manial.?" The series is about the living conditions in Egypt, especially the changes that took place after the January 25 revolution. ?Farah Laila is directed by Khaled al Hagar, written by al Hagar and Amr el Daly. It stars Laila Elwy, ?Feras Said, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, Nadia Khalaf, Nermine Maher, Ahmed ?Kamal and Sherif Baher.?
