Egyptian singer Hakeem said he was excited to be working with other Egyptian singers on the short musical opera Teslam al Ayady (Bless Those Hands). The new recording will be dedicated to the Egyptian armed forces, and the Minister of Defence, General Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.? In an interview, Hakeem told Arab Today that the success of the June 30 revolution prompted artists to create a musical to share the joy of Egyptian people. The singer affirmed they began performing for people in Cairo's Tahrir Square but realised it was difficult to include any poetry. Director of Egyptian Musicians Syndicate, Mostafa Kamel, then suggested having a musical opera. Hakeem said that as soon as he heard the idea he was “immediately excited and decided to ?participate. "I went to Resala Studio, and recorded my couplets to give a simple gift to the great ?youth that made this great revolution," Hakeem told Arab Today, adding "I also wanted to send a thank you message to the armed forces ?and General Sisi.?” He continued: “I hope Egypt's national unity will be restored and that everyone in this community ?will do what they can for the revival of the country.”? The musical opera was recorded in two days, written and composed by Mostafa Kamel, ?distributed by Ahmed Adel, with the participation of singers Mostafa Kamed, Hesham Abbas, ?Ehab Tawfek, Hakeem and Ghada Ragab. It will be broadcast when shooting is completed.
