Cairo - Khaled Ali

Egyptian actress Mai Ezz al-Din has denied rumours that she is engaged to an Egyptian businessman. She told Arabstoday exclusively that she wished the news were true because it would make her mother proud. Mai explained: "I didn't get engaged yet. If this had happened I would announce it to everyone as I am sure that they would want to share the happy news with me. I don't hide the fact that I'm like every other girl who just wants to settle emotionally with someone she loves." She added: "This rumour has already circulated several times, most recently while I was attending the premier of 'Game Over'. I was wearing a ring by chance and then was surprised by loads of stories about my 'secret engagement'. It made me laugh so much, surely if you are trying to keep a secret like that you wouldn't wear your ring to a public event?"
