Menna Shalaby: I didn’t sign a contract to play Warda

Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby denied she was offered a contract to play late Algerian singer Warda in television show “Madda al-Qamar” (Moon Praiser). Shalaby told Arabstoday she was surprised to hear that she was considered to play the part. The series “Maddah al-Qamar” in based on the biography of the late musician Baligh Hamdy. Actor Amr Waked was chosen to star in the series.
