Egyptian actor Sherif Ramzy will resume shooting his scenes in the new TV series Al Arraf (the soothsayer), on Wednesday. The show, shot in Cairo, has recently taken in other locations for filming, including Alexandria, Luxor, and the El Nahhas studio. Ramzy told Arabstoday that that he plays the role of Mahmoud, “a young man with weird ideas whose father tries to reform his life with the help of his mother.” Ramzy said the show will play out as a “social comic drama.” Al Arraf is written by Youssef Ma’aty, produced by Synergy, directed by Ramy Imam, and stars Adel Imam, Hussein Fahmy, Talaat Zakareya, Sherine, Nihal Anbar, Sherif Ramzy, Ahmed Falawkes, and Mohamed El Shakankiry.
