Luxor is safe, the same as all Egyptian tourist destinations, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese said on Friday.
The pope made the remarks during his visit to archaeological sites in the Upper Egyptian city.
During the visit, Pope Tawadros said that his visit would send a peace message to the whole world, calling on peoples of the entire world to pay Egypt a visit.
