Matrouh governor Badr Tantawi said that a project to develop Agiba plateau has started to turn the area into a tourist destination with commitment to environmental nature of the place.
Matrouh governor agreed to start electrical works in the area, said Saeed Khalil, head of Matrouh electricity sector.
In the meantime, Matrouh security chief el-Anani Hamouda said the Libyan authorities asked for opening Egypt-Libya border crossing of Salloum.
The terminal was closed Monday on both direction upon a request from the Libyan authorities for security fears.
