Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab asserted that the signing of the Declaration of Principles on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will bolster cohesion and cooperation among the Nile basin countries and enhance development efforts among them.
In statements on the second day of his visit to Matrouh, Mahlab said the signing by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the document has sent a message of love to all Nile basin countries.
Mahlab, accompanied by a number of ministers, is inspecting a number of development projects in Matrouh and was briefed on the hurdles of development plans as well as the needs of the governorates.
He also said Matrouh has vast potentials for development and success, noting that current development projects in the governorate are part of a comprehensive development plan that will create more job opportunities for residents in the coming phase.
Mahlab met late Monday with a number of tribesmen and chieftains in Matrouh and thanked them for their hospitality. He also conveyed to them greetings from President Sisi and asserted that the president has issued directives to attach special importance to development in Matrouh.
