Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamad Abdel-Motaleb has said there were irrigation development projects to water 600,000 feddans.
In press statements, Abdel-Motaleb said the infrastructure for 81,000 feddans on the sides of el-Salam Canal in Sinai was also established in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Other steps of national programs for irrigation would also be implemented, the minister said, adding that the state had set the programs to maximize the use of water resources and protect agrarian lands.
