Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry's visit to Ethiopia this week successfully combined cordial meetings with his Ethiopian and Sudanese counterparts.
Shoukry described his recent visit to Ethiopia as "fruitful", noting that the meetings focused on the Millennium Dam and other issues of common concern.
"We have reached an understanding on many water-related issues," he told reporters.
"There will be further discussions with the Ethiopian and Sudanese sides to reach consensus over the dam issues for the benefit of all," Shoukry said.
"Such critical issues need time and effort to be resolved," he added.
