Agriculture Minister Adel el Beltagy said 12 more legislations will be issued soon to serve the 2030 agricultural development strategy.
The new laws will include measures that serve farmers and end the existence of brokers, such as the farmer pension, contract farming and social solidarity laws, the minister has said.
Under another new law, the state's Central Agricultural Cooperative Union and its affiliates will be allowed to establish profit-seeking companies and deploy them in the new mechanism for developing irrigation means in rural areas, he added.
Among the national projects the ministry plans to enforce is the Farm-level Irrigation Modernization Project, which is already being applied in the Nile Delta and Valley areas, he added.
