Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi on Thursday received a report on the operation of lifting the remaining cargo of sunken phosphate vessel in the River Nile in Qena.
In statements on Thursday, Moghazi said strenuous efforts are being exerted with all bodies concerned to finish lifting the remaining parts of the vessel, noting that results of more than 450 samples of water tested negative.
He said a team, including experts from the ministry, the armed forces, security elements and local officials, have been working to lift the whole shipment that included 500 tons of phosphate, leaving no harmful impact on the water.
