Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, has praised the national companies participating in the Emirates International Date Palm Festival currently on at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Bin Fahad said, "The display of dried camel milk powder in the festival for the first time in the world by Al Ain Farms for Livestock Production represents a global scoop by the U.A.E., one that is worth being proud of.
Bin Fahad added that the U.A.E. is thus contributing towards ensuring provision of healthy food for all, noting that the U.A.E. has become a significant player in the field of food security and the Festival represents a global event to display a lot of national innovation and convergence of global expertise in various fields of agriculture.
Bin Fahad noted to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, interest in national products as he accompanied him yesterday when he opened the Festival.
