At least four suspected jihadists and a Malian soldier died Friday during an attack on a UN military camp in Timbuktu in Mali's restive north, a military source said.

The source said the military offensive against the attackers was over, adding: "At least four terrorists were killed, of whom two blew themselves up in their vehicle (and) three Malian soldiers were wounded and one killed."
