A car bomb attack targeting Somalia's new army chief on Sunday killed at least five people, including four civilians and a soldier, said an AFP reporter at the scene.
The Mogadishu attack against the army convoy was claimed by the Shabaab extremist group and came only days after Mohamed Jama Irfid, who was not hurt, was appointed to head the country's army, a security source said.
