France at UN says war crimes committed in Syria's Aleppo

France's envoy to the United Nations asserted Sunday that war crimes were being committed in Syria's battered city of Aleppo as the Security Council meet for urgent talks on the escalating military campaign.
"War crimes are being committed here in Aleppo," French Ambassador Francois Delattre told reporters, adding: "They must not be unpunished and impunity is simply not an option in Syria."
