Hundreds evacuated as bushfires near Israel's Haifa

Hundreds of Israelis were forced to leave their homes on the outskirts of the country's third city Haifa on Thursday as firefighters struggled to control raging bushfires, police said.
"Hundreds of people have been evacuated due to large fires that began in a number of neighbourhoods," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP. "No injuries have been reported so far."
