Seven crew of a US Navy destroyer are unaccounted for following a collision between the vessel and a Philippine-flagged container early Saturday, the Japanese Coast Guard said according to a report by Kyodo news agency.
The collision between the guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald and the ACX Crystal took place southwest of Yokosuka, Japan with the coastguard working to determine the extent of injuries.
