Clashes broke out at the latest anti-government protests in Venezuela on Wednesday as security forces fired tear gas to drive back a crowd of thousands of demonstrators marching in Caracas.
Police with riot trucks advanced along a major avenue in the capital, firing tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon to push back a crowd of protesters, some of whom threw stones and petrol bombs, AFP reporters at the scene saw.
