Australia's economy expands 0.2% in the second quarter, 2.0% on-year

Australia's economy grew by a slower-than-expected 0.2 percent in April to June to take the annual rate of expansion to 2.0 percent as mining and construction activity fell and exports declined, official data showed Wednesday.
The figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics compared to analysts' expectations of second-quarter growth of 0.4 percent for year-on-year growth of 2.2 percent.
