London shares up more than 2.0% after BoE announcement

London shares briefly surged more than 2.0 percent Thursday, as the head of the Bank of England indicated that an interest rates cut could be on the cards.
Mark Carney said in an announcement that he believed "some monetary policy easing" would likely be needed "over the summer" following Britain's decision to leave the European Union.
