Rafael Nadal continued his strong start to 2017 and brushed off Italy's Fabio Fognini, beating him in straight sets 6-1 and 7-5 in the Miami Masters.
Nadal's win could set up a third meeting this year in the final with arch-rival Roger Federer. Federer will face Kyrgios in the semi-final after defeating Tomas Berdych. The previous two meetings were won by Federer, including the Australian Open final.
The Spaniard played down the importance of having so much big-match experience at the tournament. He highlighted the fact that he has never won the Miami Masters.
