Sydney - AFP

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard is to be the subject of a television comedy parodying her life, and said she expects it to be hilarious. State broadcaster ABC has commissioned the four-part series, "At Home with Julia", about her domestic life and relationship with boyfriend Tim Mathieson, a former hairdresser known in Australia as the "First Bloke". It is billed as "part rom-com, part guaranteed lawsuit". Gillard lookalike Amanda Bishop will play the lead role and the prime minister said she knew the actress's work. "She's hilarious and does a very good job," Gillard told ABC radio, joking that perhaps she could delegate some of her work to Bishop. "It may come in handy having a double because there could be days where there's an extra commitment and I could get her to go." The show starts shooting in Sydney on Wednesday.
