Fargo has been renewed for a second season on FX.
The network announced the news at the 2014 Television Critics Association tour on Monday. Similar to anthology series American Horror Story and True Detective, the new season of Fargo will feature an all-new cast, location and crime.
Creator Noah Hawley, who wrote the entirety of season one, will return to pen season two. Some fans speculate the second season will focus on the 1970s Sioux Falls case Lou Solverson (Keith Carradine) alludes to on the program, but the theory is not compatible with an all-new cast.
"We could not be more proud of Fargo," FX CEO John Landgraf said in a statement. "Noah's audacious, bordering on hubristric riff on my favorite Coen brothers film earned 18 Emmy nominations -- the most for a single program in our history. Fargo was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment."
The Coen brothers executive produced the series, which is inspired by their 1996 film of the same name. The first season of the television adaptation starred Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks and Martin Freeman.
The second season of Fargo premieres on FX in 2015.
