Hulu co-producing 'Thick of It' Season 4

Hulu says its first international co-production with the BBC will be the fourth season of Armando Iannucci's British political comedy "The Thick of It." Beginning July 29, Hulu and Hulu Plus will be the exclusive U.S. destination for fans to watch the first three seasons of the program. "The Thick of It" was initially broadcast on BBC Four in the United Kingdom and BBC America in the United States. Hulu will exclusively premiere the fourth season in the United States, which will air first on Hulu and Hulu Plus on the same day and date as the U.K. broadcast before returning to BBC America early next year. "I very quickly became obsessed with this show, and it is exactly the kind of show Hulu viewers will love," Hulu Senior Vice President of Content Andy Forssell said in a statement Wednesday. "We're really excited to give U.S. audiences a chance to catch up with all previous episodes, and as series co-producers for Season 4, we are proud to make full seasons of this distinctive and smart show available exclusively to Hulu viewers." The show stars Peter Capaldi, Chris Addison, James Smith and Joanna Scanlan.
