Singer-actress Shirley Jones is to guest star on the sitcom "Cougar Town," TBS announced Monday. Season 4 of the show is to debut Jan. 8. It stars Courteney Cox as Jules Cobb, a recently remarried mom who is never far from her wine and her group of friends, known as the "cul de sac crew." Jones is set to play Anne, an elderly woman who buys Grayson's old house under the condition that Jules spends time with her. "Anne ends up sharing a lot of advice with Jules, whether she wants to hear it or not," a synopsis said. Josh Hopkins plays Grayson, Jules' new husband. Jones is best known for her performances in the musical films "Oklahoma!," "Carousel" and "The Music Man," as well as for her starring role in TV's "The Partridge Family." She earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1960 drama "Elmer Gantry."
