Former Germany captain and goalkeeper Oliver Kahn is set to bring a football reality show, which looks to unearth new talent, to German TV after it proved successful in China. Kahn's show - Never Give Up - was a hit in the far east, as the ex-Bayern Munich star played a starring role in the series which put young aspiring goalkeepers through their paces with a series of challenges. The idea is to bring the show to Germany with a contract at a Bundesliga club on offer for the winner of the series. The 42-year-old, who led Germany to the 2002 World Cup final defeat to Brazil, earned his coaching licence last season. But he says he currently has no plans to coach a football team as he forges a career in television having already worked as a pundit for German TV. "Right now for me there is no reason to go back into football," he told German daily Bild. "I'm really busy with a few business interests. Currently, we are developing a TV format that we have developed in Asia, which we hope to implement in the German market." Bild report the negotiations between Kahn and German tv channel Sat1 are at the stage where contracts can be signed soon and there are plans for eight episodes to be screened starting in May 2012.
