PBS has announced plans to air a second season of the British drama series, "Last Tango in Halifax," starring Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid. The six-episode season is to kick off on U.S. television June 29. Written by Sally Wainwright and directed by Euros Lyn and Jill Robertson, the show tells the story of love struck septuagenarians Alan and Celia who rediscover their love for each other later in life -- 60 years, in fact, after they first met, a synopsis said. "'Last Tango in Halifax' captured the hearts of millions of viewers," Beth Hoppe, chief programming executive and general manager of general audience programming for PBS, said in a statement Monday. "We are excited to continue the love story between Alan and Celia and work with Red Production and the BBC on an exciting second season."
