Los Angeles - UPI

Former teen idol Luke Perry is to guest star on the U.S. crime drama series "Body of Proof," ABC said Monday. Perry is best known for his work in the 1990s TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210." He also appeared in the shows "Oz" and "Jeremiah." His episode of "Body of Proof" is to air March 27. "When scores of people start dying from similar symptoms, the team is faced with a citywide outbreak of an unknown virus and no one safe -- including Megan and her team," a synopsis said. "Center for Disease Control Officer Charlie Stafford takes over the case to figure out not just what caused the outbreak, but who." Dana Delany stars as medical examiner Megan Hunt on the show. Perry will play Stafford.
