Actress Mai Saleem has signed a contract with the production company ‘Oscars’ to star in the new television drama “Silsal Al Dam” (Blood Chain). The drama is written by Majdi Sabri, directed by Mustafa Al Shal and will star prominent Egyptian actress Ablah Kamel, actor Riyadh Al Khouly and Ola Ghanem. The drama is social one that revolves around events in the early 1980 before the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Al Sadat and ends right before the Egyptian January 25, 2011 Revolution. Filming of the first scenes are scheduled to begin in February to have it ready for airing during the Ramadan season of 2012. On a different note, Mai has not decided on the second drama she will star in. she has been presented with three different scripts and will choose the most suitable one. The actress stated that she does not find fault with starring in two works in one season as long as she plays different roles.
