Entertainer Neil Patrick Harris says he turned down offers from CBS to host The Late Show and The Late Late Show. David Letterman is leaving The Late Show next year, while Craig Ferguson is vacating the Late Late Show's hosting chair this December. Stephen Colbert was recently announced as Letterman's replacement, but no one has been revealed as Ferguson's successor. "I think I would get bored of the repetition fast, and the structure of it is so set," Harris told radio interviewer Howard Stern. "I don't have any interest in doing monologue, commercial, sketch, guest, guest, guest, musical act, good night." Harris, who can now be seen in the Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, said he would like to emcee a weekly variety television show now that his sitcom How I Met Your Mother has ended.
