The Real Housewives of Atlanta will reportedly feature its first transgender cast member in season 8.
Transgender model Amiyah Scott is slated to join the Bravo series, according to TMZ. Scott was born Arthur Scott, and began her transition 10 years ago at age 17. She has since been romantically linked to a number of rappers.
Actress Kim Fields is also rumored for the upcoming season. The 46-year-old star is the eldest daughter of actress Chip Fields, and best known for playing Tootie Ramsey on NBC sitcom The Facts of Life and Regine Hunter on Fox series Living Single.
News of Scott and Fields comes in the wake of longtime cast member NeNe Leake's departure. The 47-year-old reality star starred on seven consecutive seasons, and announced she would be leaving to pursue other opportunities in June.
