Egyptian artist Sawsan Badr explained to Arabstoday that she is constantly seeking innovation in her roles adding that her role in the series ‘Eye of A Needle’, starring Amr Saad, is very different from the aristocratic roles she has played before. “I play the role of a women from a lower-class neighbourhood, who is always quarrelling and loves creating problems.” She added "In the series ‘Stories we are Living', in which I starred alongside Laila Olwy, I was a child snatcher, also from a lower-class neighborhood, but the role is different... maybe my look is similar but a totally different character.” Sawsan also talked about working with the actor Yehia El Fakharany: “ I worked with Fakharany for the first time on TV in ‘Foreigner Abdel Kader’, which I think will be very successful as it is an original idea and an unusual way of shooting ... “I really enjoyed working with Fakharany, I have worked with him on stage but this was the first time with him on TV. Actually, this series is different in every way; the script, shooting and dramatic handling." Describing her role in 'Foreigner Abdel Kader' Sawsan said: "I play the role of a jealous woman, who is almost crazy with jealousy ... jealous of her husband and everyone around him and that lead the character to invent problems between herself and her husband, and anyone who comes near him.”
