Strictly Come Dancing star Dani Harmer is unlikely to be paid for her work on the cancelled musical Disco Inferno. The show collapsed after performers argued with the show's producer, Garth Harrison of Disco Inferno Productions Limited, over pay. "I think we're each going to get £9, which is very nice of the man seeing as we worked our bums off for about four weeks," says Harmer. Disco Inferno Productions has now gone into liquidation. The accountant handling the company, David Tann, says it is "unlikely" the actors will be paid. 'Amazing' cast Speaking ahead of the first live Strictly Come Dancing show of the series, Harmer said: "These things happen. It's a shame but we put on a really good show. Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker Dani Harmer is best known for playing Tracy Beaker on CBBC "The cast were absolutely amazing and I'm just really proud to have been a part of it, even though it only lasted for a week." David Tann gave a statement to The Stage magazine. He said: "The company has very few assets and whilst I am looking to sell the set and costumes for the production, at the moment it looks unlikely that there will be any return to creditors at all." Sam Attwater, who is known for playing Leon Small in EastEnders and appearing on Dancing on Ice, was also due to star in Disco Inferno. Harmer had been accused of signing up to Strictly Come Dancing while still being involved with Disco Inferno, causing an investor to withdraw. The BBC said that Harmer was not the cause of the cancellation of Disco Inferno's financial problems. "We're delighted Dani is on board for Strictly and, when booked, was 100% available." (BBC)
