Tamkeen announced the launch of the second edition of its "The Mission" reality TV show, in line with its programmes to develop the skills of Bahraini youths to join and prepare them to join the labour market, as well as promote the entrepreneurship culture. This year's edition, organised in cooperation with the Information Affairs Authority(IAA) and the " Studio Master", will focus on business entrepreneurship and basic skills required to establish successful businesses through series of innovative tasks and practical applications in a competitive atmosphere. "The Mission" is considered a pioneering initiative in Bahrain in which judges choose a group of young people to train them well by specialists and send them to different companies and associations for practical training so the real challenge shall start for each one of them to prove their skills and abilities to win the final prize which is establishing their own company or business while shooting the whole stages as a reality TV show. The winner will receive the grand prize of BD10,000 in order to establish his/her own business, and have an opportunity to benefit from Tamkeen's business development programmes. The audience will have the chance to watch the programme that will be aired on Bahrain TV while the participants face the challenges of the programme and their quest to prove their abilities in business entrepreneurship through its various stages, which includes workshops, intensive training and competition through a variety of different tasks related to the establishment of business. Participants will be selected through the various phases of the programme down to the last stage to determine the first place winner. Registration will start on Dec 30, 2013 in which a group of people will be chosen. Participants must be 18-30 year olds and hold the Bahraini citizenship.
