Residents woke up to dark clouds and cool weather once again as light rain fell over parts of the emirate on Monday morning.
While Al Minhad experienced misty conditions, light rain fell over Ghayathu, Al Ruwais, Dalma, Khalifa City, Tareef, Tawiyen and scattered areas of the emirate, according to the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology.
The chance of light rain will continue as the partly cloudy and hazy conditions are expected to linger today, especially over the coast and islands. A chance of light rain is forecast through Tuesday.
A north-westerly wind along the coast will blow between 25km/h and 35km/h, reaching up to 45km/h at times, leading to blowing sand and dust that may reduce visibility.
The seas will also get stirred up by the winds. The national weather service warned the conditions will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.
Along the coast, the temperature will reach a high of between 16°C and 21°C. The interior will be slightly warmer, with highs ranging from 19°C to 24°C.
Cooler conditions will prevail in the mountains as maximum temperatures peak between 13°C and 17°C.
