Actress Amy Adams arrives for the New York event New York - Arabstoday The 22nd Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York was a spectacular star studded evening. Hosted this year by writer and performer, Mike Birbiglia, the event was held to honour the filmmaking community and expand the audience for independent films. Amy Adams wowed on the red carpet in a Giorgio Armani asymmetric black dress with Mary Janes platforms. The actress looked ravishing in her curve-hugging, two-toned, asymmetrical black dress. Her hair was in a clean and elegant up do and she kept accessories to minimal wearing earrings only. Actors Matt Damon and Marion Cotillard received career tributes during the evening. Emily Blunt was also recognised, along with her co-stars, for her indie comedy, Your Sister's Sister. Damon, who received his award from Blunt's actor husband John Krasinski, said it felt "really weird" to be honoured and joked that "people are trying to get rid of me".
