Development of the Coral Muscat Hotel & Apartments is on track. The construction process was evaluated by Laurent A Voivenel, CEO, HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings who was recently in Muscat to review the progress. The property is due for completion by second quarter of 2014. The Coral Muscat Hotel & Apartments is one of the five properties scheduled to open this year under the HMH banner and will be a flagship hotel for Coral Hotels & Resorts in Muscat. Laurent said: “The construction has really picked up pace over the last few months. We are confident Coral Muscat Hotel & Apartments will turn out to be a preferred address for both corporate and leisure travellers.” The property is being developed as a four-star hotel, is part of a shopping arcade and multiplex. The hotel features 88 apartments including 56 two-bedroom and 32 one-bedroom units. On site will be an all-day-dining restaurant, pool deck and lounge, terrace lounge, superb meeting venues for small to medium-sized conferences. Laurent further explained: “Muscat has a strong performing hotel market in Oman, with occupancy rates exceeding 60% in H1 2013, closely followed by Musandam and Dhofar. We are excited to be here and the property represents the success of our brand expansion in the GCC.” Source: Travel Daily
