Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Senior Business Development Manager, Renata Komkaite from the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai will be joining the delegation from the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing at the major Russian travel fair, Otdykh Leisure, between September 17 and 20 in Moscow. This is the third time that the hotel will participate in the show, one of the most important travel event in the country which last year attracted 1,500 exhibitors from 100 countries and more than 65,000 visitors. According to Scott Butcher, General Manager of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai. “CIS is a key source market for Dubai and we are eager to get a bigger share of the business. Otdykh Leisure offers us the perfect platform to showcase our product and facilities to leading travel trade professionals as well as understand their requirements. FlyDubai has added four more destinations in Russia, doubling its presence in the country and offering competitive air fares for potential visitors, and we believe there is more business to be done to attract not only high-end tourists but also families and business travellers.” Following a major presence last year when Dubai increased the size of its stand by 40 per cent and Emirates took part for the first time, visitor numbers from Russia to the Emirate have increased dramatically. The overall outbound Russian market was estimated at more than 19 million last year, and it took fifth place among the top inbound markets for Dubai, recording a substantial rise amounting to 54 per cent growth rate over 2011 and totalling 0.39 million – more than Germany, Kuwait or China.
