JA Ocean View Hotel will soon celebrate its first anniversary along with the UAE’s National Day. To celebrate the period, the hotel has set up a special-theme tribute to Emirati culture and heritage. Guests visiting the hotel will enter an Arabian-inspired setting with the hotel’s outdoor atrium transformed into a heritage village called Emirati 42. Running for two weeks from 20 November to 4 December 2013, the outdoor atrium in addition to its Arabian theme will also offer Arabic coffee, plump dates and honeyed sweets to guests on arrival. This will then lead on to the heritage village experience which features a traditional majlis (central meeting place), mini souvenir souk displaying local handicrafts and artworks in addition to henna artists.
