IBM continues to advance and stretch the boundaries of what Watson can do, which includes embedding cognitive capabilities into new form factors such as robots.
Hilton and IBM have collaborated on a pilot project to debut the first Watson-enabled hotel robot concierge named "Connie."
Connie draws on domain knowledge from Watson and WayBlazer, a Watson ecosystem partner, to inform Hilton guests on local tourist attractions, dining recommendations and hotel features and amenities.
This is just the beginning, and Connie is learning. Each interaction with a guest is an opportunity to teach Connie new information and expand its corpus of knowledge.
Based on the knowledge gathered from this pilot, IBM can continue to advance cognitive technology and help accelerate the solutions its partners can bring to market.
