Hilton Hotels is expanding its global spa concept to China with the opening of its trademark spa at Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe. The hotel group has also revealed plans to open a second eforea: spa at Hilton in China later year. The 9,000-square-foot spa at Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe offers eight treatment rooms, reflexology and massage pods, a Vichy shower room and an outdoor infinity-edge swimming pool. Signature design features include: an ice fountain, deluge head and Swiss shower jets, a full sauna, steam and hydro pool, and botanical elements unique to the destination. Brands on the treatment menu include Kerstin Florian for results-oriented European facial, body and bath products and treatments sourced from natural resources that include algae, mud, herbal extracts, thermal mineral water and essential oils. LI’TYA draws on the restorative powers of Australia’s native resources to provide a holistic spa experience. VitaMan provides a comprehensive line of Australian-made natural spa and grooming products formulated specifically for men. While Peter Thomas Roth products are an extension of the new in-room bath amenity collection available. “With more than 90 eforea: spa at Hilton locations in development, opening our first location in China is an important milestone for us,” explains Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “This location at Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe complements the hotel’s contemporary design and offers guests the signature treatments and hallmark elements that are being well received by our guests and local spa-goers around the world.” Since eforea: spa at Hilton debuted in October 2010, the brand has expanded with spas currently open in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Azerbaijan, with more in the pipeline.
