Margaritaville resort to open in Grand Cayman

The 285-room Margaritaville Grand Cayman Beach Resort on Seven Mile Beach is slated to open in December, the first Margaritaville property outside the U.S.

Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffet, the new-build resort will feature an open-air lobby with a License to Chill bar.

Other facilities include a coffee shop, the three-meals-a-day Banana Wind Cafe, a swim-up bar, two pools, retail space, spa and Yara, the brand's signature restaurant.

Since launching its first restaurant location in Key West in 1987, Margaritaville has expanded to include hotels, resorts and retail shops in the U.S.

Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham has timeshare properties in St. Thomas and San Juan. The Margaritaville at Sea Experience launched last November on the Norwegian Escape.
