Mourjan Marinas IGY, the manager of luxury marinas and yachting lifestyle destinations, continues to build its presence in Qatar with the announcement that it will manage the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Doha marina in Qatar. The Dubai-based marina developer and operator has signed a Marina Management Agreement with the luxury hotel that will see it fully manage the stunning 112 berth floating marina located on the shores of Doha’s West Bay. Four Seasons marina berths yachts up to 35 metres (115 feet) and will be part of the new Nobu restaurant development, which anchors the northern end of the city’s Corniche. Shadi Suleman, director of rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Doha said, “Four Seasons Hotel Doha is a world-class five-star destination with a premium positioning and a high-profile customer base, and as part of our on-going efforts to provide them with the best services and products, we see the importance for us and our marina members to associate with a premium international Marina services provider like the Mourjan Marinas.” The partnership will see Mourjan Marinas IGY bring their award-winning management expertise to the marina with a focus on further enhancing the experience for local and international boaters. Michael Horrigan, CEO of Mourjan Marinas IGY, said, “We are very proud to be partnering with such a world-class brand such as Four Seasons. We will have a dedicated team in place who is looking forward to bringing our expertise to the marina as we develop it further and offer the very highest level of service to customers. Having the trust of a company like Four Seasons underlines our position in the marketplace and our abilities to deliver improvements for the marina and customer experience.” Wayne Shepherd, regional operations manager Middle East, Mourjan Marinas IGY, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, has permanently relocated to Qatar to focus on the Qatar marina operations. “I am very excited about the partnership with Four Seasons and I look forward to working closely with them,” said Shepherd. “There is no denying the importance of the Qatar market and the developments this country is seeing and I am very pleased to be playing a part of that process.” Mourjan Marinas IGY is also undertaking the full responsibility for design, construction and operation of all marinas in Doha’s Lusail City, having welcomed the first yacht into Lusail Marina last year. Another strategic partnership announced last year, was the management of the branding, sales and marketing of the high-end Port Tarraco Marina in north eastern Spain. “We have continued to broaden our reach locally and internationally this year and we are seeing some great results and strong partnerships in key markets,” added Horrigan. “Our latest agreement in Qatar is very pleasing as it adds to our portfolio in the country that is fast becoming one of the focus destinations for boaters in the region.” Four Seasons marina, which is only 15 minutes from Doha Airport, offers boaters easy access to the Doha Corniche and members can enjoy membership to the Hotel facilities. The marina also offers a boat ramp, round the clock security, Dockmaster assistance, along with seven-day per week fuel service for both diesel and petrol.
