Designing twins Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 will be joining the likes of Roberto Cavalli, Versace, GQ and Vogue in making their foray into the restaurant business. According to fashion trade publication Women’s Wear Daily, the duo are in the midst of designing a new restaurant which will open on the penthouse level of their company’s Milan headquarters. The restaurant, the Ceresio 7, will be helmed by former Bulgari Hotel chef Elio Sironi and is being developed with studios Storage and Dimore. Due to open in September, the restaurant also promises to offer poolside cocktails with plans to build not one, but two rooftop pools. Meanwhile, luxury label Versace is set to open a palatial luxury hotel in Dubai next summer that includes a fine dining restaurant. A Palazzo Versace already exists in Australia. Roberto Cavalli has the Cavalli Club at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai, while Vogue opened a café at the Dubai Mall this spring. Men’s lifestyle magazine GQ is also expected to open a new restaurant inside the world’s tallest hotel, the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.
