Global day tour company, Urban Adventures has added a dozen new tours that introduce travellers to authentic, local cuisine.
Led by local tour guides with the inside scoop on their city's food scene, the new tours range from a home-cooked meal with a local family in San Jose, to a food crawl through Brooklyn in New York, and a chance to make your own Pisco sour on a night out in Lima. Highlights of the new tours include:
Flavors and Murals of the Mission, San Francisco (2.5 hours, US$58) - dunk artisan donuts, munch on Mexican pastries, taste tacos, and tuck into pies while admiring the many murals of San Francisco's historic Mission district.

Ningxia Night Market Tour, Taipei (2 - 3 hours, US$59) - discover hundreds of delicious Taiwanese dishes, from fried yam balls to pork leg rice, herb soup and oyster pancakes, among the hustle and bustle of one of the most popular markets in Taipei.
Food With Altitude, La Paz (3.5 hours, US$52) - see how Bolivians turn humble ingredients into greatness, while trying local delights such as tea made from lightly-toasted cherries mixed with cinnamon sticks, fresh fish from Lake Titicaca and traditional potato soup.
