The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, and LHH Hospital, have launched an initiative targeting 300 workers in Mussaffah, where they were subjected to comprehensive medical screening and counselling to educate them about ways of maintaining their health.
This marks the municipality's participation in the Year of Giving initiative launched by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The municipality has affirmed that workers represent an integral part of the community's active components and are assigned priority within the municipality's strategy. The move also echoes the municipality's mission in offering assistance to all community segments and supporting communal initiatives. The municipality, together with its strategic partners in the public and private sectors, renewed its keenness to instil the charitable work concept, cooperation and the value of giving in the community in its entirety.
The initiative offers medical tips to workers and educate them about the sound hygienic practices, which will have a positive bearing on their health and their community. Workers were also offered personal cleaning tools.
