Dr. Saif Saleh Al Sayari, Acting Director-General of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, ADWEA, and Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, discussed the authority’s participation in the World Future Energy Summit - Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, and the promotion of cooperation and coordination between both sides.
The meeting was attended by Anka Wastley, Content Development Manager for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and Masdar Projects, and Ara Fransian, Middle East Director-General at Reed International Exhibitions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Al Sayari signed a strategic partnership agreement with Reed International Exhibitions relating to the strategic partnership and the sponsorship of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2018.
He said that the event, which will take place from 13th to 20th January 2018, proves Abu Dhabi’s global position in the areas of innovation, efficiency and sustainable investment, as part of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
He highlighted the importance of the partnership with Masdar and its role in promoting the authority’s aspirations to reach an advanced position among the companies working in the water and electricity sector by 2020.
Al Ramahi expressed his appreciation for the role of ADWEA in the development of the water and electricity sector in the emirate and affirmed the keenness of Masdar to strengthen the cooperation with the authority to achieve the aspirations of the wise government with regards to the future of clean energy in the UAE.
The World Future Energy Summit is at the forefront of the international annual events aimed at developing the future energy and clean energy technologies.
