Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and continuous support of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW)'s President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Consultative Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), the Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS2015) was inaugurated on Wednesday (February 25) at the Bahrain International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Show has been open for the public from February 26 and is slated to conclude today, March 1.
The Bahrain International Garden Show has attracted many architects, engineers, consultants, developers and professionals from various sectors in addition to agriculture enthusiasts, consumers and students.
The show has been focused on education and agricultural training opportunities for those who are interested. In addition to displaying the available agricultural programs of specialised organisations in this sector, as well as the latest agricultural techniques, new mechanisms and tools that can contribute to enhancing productivity, reducing costs and achieving environmental sustainability.
The event was organised by the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) in collaboration with Tamkeen (Labor Fund), UNIDO and the relevant official organisations.
More than 145 exhibitors participated and displayed their designs, products and services on a total area of 7100 square metres.
